The New Video "Love it Through," from the Folk It! EP

We are proud of our new EP, Folk It! which we recorded with some friends over the last few months.  It got some songs out of our system which won’t be included on our soon-to-be released album.  Here’s a video we made (in five minutes) to feature one of the songs. The album is available for download here.

Kicking Some Aster on March 7!

Happy Valentines Day from The Falderals,

We’re almost done with our existential, experimental, and yet un-named EP, which we recorded in a flurry these past months, trying some things we’ve never tried before, gathering friends via Dropbox to add parts, and we’re excited to release a version of it at The Aster on March 7.
As a Valentines Day gift we’re offering anybody who makes an advanced reservation for our March 7 Aster gig a free download code to get an early cut of the EP (when it’s ready…in the next few days, hopefully).  The EP includes three brand new songs, a cover we’ve been playing forever (yes, we finally got the nerve to record our version of “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea”), and an old, classic, pre-Falderal song we’ve been doing for years (old Gatewood fans might remember this one).  We got some dobro featuring Jim McGuinn, some uke and guitar featuring Deke McCallum.
Just send us an email if you make a reservation at the Aster, and we’ll get you a download code…and (if the stars align) a free hard copy of the EP on March 7.
We’re excited to kick some Aster on March 7.
Look out for a video coming soon.
And, of course, we’ve been recording a full length, in-studio album with Schoen Oslund of Idea Man Studios…set to spring in the summer.
Happy V-Day.  We love everyone.

Great Times in Milwaukee and Duluth

Had a great week playing at the Art Bar in Milwaukee and last night at  Fitger’s Brewhouse in Duluth.  Thanks everybody who came out.  Now we’re going to stay close and focus on recording our new album.  We’ll be playing some new stuff on December 20 at the recently opened Amsterdam in Saint Paul.  Come check out this new club and spread some holiday cheer.
