New Song and Video: “Follow Me”

Check out our new song, along with some visuals of our recent travels in Costa Rica. The song “Follow Me” charts new territory for us, with it’s whimsical, child-like feel, pairing a uke and a guitar.

Summer/Fall Slour (slow tour) Update

It was great to play at the 331 last night (Thanks Jason and everyone at the 331) after a few shows up in the great north woods.  The slour (slow-tour) will continue with some music in Milwaukee on Thanksgiving weekend at The Art Bar.  Hope to see some old friends there.

The Falderals: A No-Nonsense Folk Band

The Falderals are a folk duo composed of husband and wife Andrew and Rebecca Andestic. Hailed by the Superior Telegram as a “true taste of American folk music,” the two met in the Peace Corps and have been playing music together ever since, starting around campfires in Armenia, then the streets of Chicago, and now in bars and coffee shops around the Twin Cities. Their third child never missed a gig (for her first nine months), despite the thump of Rebecca’s giant acoustic bass just inches from her head. The Falderals take their name from an old nonsense folk lyric (“fal-de-ral diddle-o-day”) and have been compared to The Civil Wars and Simon and Garfunkel (if Garfunkel had been a woman). They’ve been featured on The Current’s Radio Heartland and KFAI’s House Party. Their buttered harmonies and foot-stomping instrumentation will take you on journeys through ghost towns and wooded bike trails, bars, and bright-lighted cities; and while you travel with them, you’ll somehow feel right at home.
